Spotlight on sparkling hotel

This stunning chandelier will give visitors a sparkling welcome to Reading’s newest luxury hotel.
The final touches are currently being added to the 210-bedroom Hilton Hotel, just off the A33, which opens its doors for the first time next month.
The 24-foot chandelier will be the striking focal point of the hotel foyer, leading to the top-class Larder Restaurant, health club, swimming pool and the largest conference facilities in town.
General manager Meredith Bevan, who has come from managing a Hilton in Limerick, Ireland, said: “The chandelier installation is another exciting step towards the completion of the hotel.
“Guests will quickly be able to see why we will become Reading’s premiere hotel, offering a first class guest experience in contemporary surroundings.”
The sleek five-star hotel, overseen by developers PRUPIM, is part of the massive Southside regeneration scheme in South Reading.
