Hospice boost from Boehringer Ingelheim

A pharmaceutical company in Bracknell has raised £21,000 for a hospice providing vital care for terminally ill children.

Staff at Boehringer Ingelheim showed their support for Naomi House with a range of fun-filled activities last year including a sponsored walk, car washing, a doughnut day and Christmas bingo.

The charity, which is based near Winchester, receives just 10 per cent of its funding from the Government and constantly requires public generosity and support to continue its work.

Emma Willshire, corporate fundraiser at Naomi House, said: “We rely on the generosity of donations from the local community.

“Boehringer Ingelheim’s donation has been fantastic and will go such a long way to help children and their families.”

A spokesperson for Boehringer Ingelheim added: “We hope other companies and individuals come forward to support Naomi House.

“The community spirit activities really motivate our employees and encourage team building. Plus everyone feels good about raising money for such a worthwhile cause.”
