A Reading occupational healthcare firm has been named one of the fastest growing private companies in the UK – for the second successive year.

Health Management Ltd, based in Queens Road, was placed 66th in the coveted Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league table.

It is the first and only provider of occupational healthcare services to receive top grading in the prestigious index of top performing businesses.

Managing director Andrew Noble said: “We are thrilled to have achieved a place within the top 100 firms again.

“It takes considerable effort to maintain and improve standards whilst growing the business at this rate, but we are passionate about our work.

“We are also well supported by a great team of doctors, nurses and customer service staff who are highly motivated and very professional.”

Established in 2002 by a team of health specialists, the company has grown rapidly this year with sales rising to £7.6 million and staff numbers reaching 200.

Catering to a blue-chip clientele of FTSE 250 companies and large government agencies, its services include pre-employment testing, medical advice and consulting related to employee sickness and work-related illnesses.

Mr Noble and co-founders Richard and Alasdair Emslie have also expanded the business northward, opening offices in Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool this year.
