Calcot-based IT company Unified Group is holding an open day for local businesses looking to improve their in-house communications.

The group, which specialises in communication integration, will be advising companies on the ‘do’s’ and ‘don’ts’ in developing unified technologies.

The free event will be full of demonstrations of the latest cutting-edge voice and data services, including multimedia conferencing and wireless solutions.

There will be one-to-one sessions with Unified’s technical experts and also workshop sessions to demonstrate the real-world benefits of the latest unified communications.

“Successful unified communications provides significant benefits to organisations in a rapidly changing marketplace,” said managing director Michael Lloyd.

“It means a more responsive, simplified communication system, reduced timescales and costs, which in turn improves productivity and customer care.

“However, like any new technology, it needs to be planned carefully, one step at a time. There is no point implementing a complete, enterprise-wide UC solution without getting the basic building blocks in place first.”

The Unified Communications open day takes place on Thursday, June 19, at Unified Group’s head office in Theale Cross, Pincents Kiln, Calcot.
