National award for chamber

5/12/2006

The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce was named National Chamber of the Year at an awards ceremony in London.

The chamber picked up the accolade at the British Chamber of Commerce’s Gala Awards and Dinner ceremony at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, on Thursday, November 23.

Chairman of judges Professor Stephen Hagen said the Thames Valley chamber had inspired the judges with its brave and impressive planning skills.

Paul Briggs, chief executive of the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group, said: “I am thoroughly delighted that the chamber has been named National Chamber of the Year.

“This award recognises the dramatic changes within the chamber which have resulted in it becoming one of the largest and fastest growing in the UK.”
