CHARITY TAX BREAKS 'UNFAIR'

CHARITY shops in Wokingham have hit back at suggestions from a leading business pressure group that they should no longer get tax breaks.
The Forum of Private Business (FPB) claims a breed of ‘professional’ charity shops, selling new goods and disposing of volunteer-led shops, were at an unfair advantage.
Under UK law charity shops benefit from concessions as all their profits go towards supporting a cause considered to be of benefit to the public.
