READING'S mayor took his work outside to help launch new deluxe offices in the town centre.

Mayor Riaz Chaudri and wife Naeema sat on a driveable office desk in Market Place as Business Environment Group unveiled its new premier floor at the Soane Point centre.

Companies that rent the offices will receive luxuries such as broadband internet, local and national calls, LCD screens and daily fresh fruit all inclusive.

Assistant centre manager Julie Howard said: "We don't want clients to have to think about the little things when they move into a new office and it seems to have taken off as we're more than half full already."
