PR firm voted one of the best

26/ 4/2005

A COMPANY'S ability to get developers and neighbours talking earned it a place in a table of the best public relations (PR) firms.

Green Issues Communications, which has a base in Central Reading, was 41st among the UK's Top 150 PR companies.

The firm, which was set up in 1998 and has offices in South Street, advises developers on how to go about consulting with neighbours as part of their planning applications to local authorities.

Managing director Tom Curtin believes the firm's success in the listing, which was organised by magazine PR Week, was a result of understanding of planning issues. He said: "Community consultation and liaison are fast becoming an essential part of the local planning process as Government guidelines stipulate how the community should be involved."
