I preferred my cuddly girl
May 08, 2008
My girlfriend set out to lose a stone before summer. She joined Weight Watchers and has gone from a size 14 to a size 10.
She does look great. But I loved her the way she was anyway. Now she’s lost all this weight she’s bought new, sexier, clothes and has had her hair dyed blonde.
I know all my mates fancy her now and I don’t like this. I think I was happier when she was cuddly and just mine. Should I tell her I preferred her when she was bigger? AS, Whitley.
JENNY CLAIMS: No you shouldn’t tell your girlfriend you preferred her bigger.
As she obviously feels better about herself now and is enjoying the new slimmer look.
You need to recognise that it’s your own insecurity that’s making you feel uncertain about your girlfriend’s new, sexier image. But aren’t you the lucky one? While all your mates can only look and admire, this girl is yours.
Most women love compliments, so make sure your girlfriend knows that you fancy her and this could be all it takes to guarantee that she loves only you, despite the admiration of others.
